A Brief History In 2002, a small
group from Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Kemblesville, PA gathered
for Bible study and fellowship with the vision of planting a “daughter”
church in the Kennett Square area. Stillwaters Farm Stillwaters Farm was the dream of Alice
and Gene Dripps. Forty years ago, the property was purchased with the
intent of becoming a Christian retreat center, a place where people
could gather to worship, reflect on their faith, and look for God’s
guidance in their lives. The dream moved forward, a building was erected
and parts of the mission were accomplished. However, the project was
never fully completed. In 2006, Kennett Community Church
became Stillwaters Presbyterian Church. This fall we will begin meeting at
Christ Community Fellowship in Chatham, PA while we complete Stillwaters.
This lovely church is located on Route 841 just 1/2 mile north of Route
1 and is being made available to us by the generosity of its
congregation.
