Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to
Stillwaters Presbyterian Church’s website. I am Pastor Tony Stephens.
What kind of church is this? Well, it is a place that is relaxed,
informal and comfortable. You will find a supportive atmosphere here
where you can find real help with real problems. At SPC we strive to
leave our “church face” at the door, and come to God and each other
with honesty and compassion.
Maybe you find it hard to believe that God is real, or that He is good.
Perhaps you don’t know what to believe. This is a place to work out
those issues and be supported as you do.
At the same time, we believe that life with Christ at the center brings
profound joy, true purpose, and lasting hope in a broken world
What do we see as the heart of Christianity? We believe that it is
summed up in the word relationship, not religion. What you will find
emphasized at SPC is an active, vital relationship with a living and
present God and a focus on developing meaningful relationships with
others.
One thing that has always saddened me is to see churches where programs
and structure were more important than people. The church is not a
business but a community. We have adopted a slogan here that says, “The
people are the Church.” So on a typical Sunday morning you will
encounter a service that is participatory, meaningful, and personal.
At Stillwaters we try not to take ourselves too seriously, but we do
take our faith seriously. We strive to follow Jesus Christ and His Word
wholeheartedly, to worship God in the power of the Spirit, and to
pursue truth passionately. Along with that we place a special emphasis
on developing the faith of our children and teens.
What is SPC? It just might be church the way you always hoped it could
be. We would love to have you join us some Sunday and see for yourself
what God is doing in our midst.
If I can be of any help, please write or call at (610) 444-8802 and I’ll
get back to you right away.
